I will make extra effort to understand him/her. From there I will analysis on what is my next move. I believed most of the conflict is due to misunderstanding so try to find out the root cause first before making a conclusion.

  • Joseph Lim

Sit down and talk to each other, find out what is the disagreement about.

  • Jacy Lim

Find a time to negotiate the problem, the root cause, followed by an arbitrator if it still does not work out.

  • Mackey Lim

How would you deal with somebody who is difficult to live with?

S.T.O.P. in the name of love:
    S – Stop whatever you’re doing
    T – Take 3 deep breaths
O – Observe how your body feels
P – Proceed with kindness and compassion

No matter how challenging the difficult person is, this pause will help to derail the emotional reactions that are primed to take over in the heat of the moment.

  • Yeo Dgr

I will find out the problem with the person. If it does not work in favour for both parties, i think it is the best way to move out of the place and live separately. It does not benefit with both parties staying together and cannot stay in harmony.

  • Lynn Cheslie

Use Appropriate Humor. I believe when appropriately used, humor can shine light on the truth, disarm difficult behavior, and show that I have superior composure.

  • Siow Peng Ann

I know I can walk away whenever I have to, so I don’t feel trapped.

  • Angel Inoran

I assess what works best for me and avoid what doesn’t.

  • Cecilia Chng

I would be an even more difficult person – an eye for an eye!

  • Rahama Tunnisa

Use every dirty trick in the book to unnerved him emotionally and mentally.

  • Fathima Ifraanah

Reverse pyschology works best to make anyone quit!

  • Shahrim Mahmud

Find some middle ground to work with,if not an ultimatum works best!

  • Jay Cheng

Try to tolerate. If things do not become better, ignore their presence and just be yourself. This is how I deal with classmates who reject me in class. They are mean to me because they find me weird and ignore my presence. At first I seem to mind a lot and get pretty upset but after a while I realized its THEIR LOST for not having me as their friend. Why am I even spending my precious time trying to seek their attention when I can devote my time on my studies ?! They are just jealous that I am unique. I have to face them for two years but I guess this is life. Your learning journey to success is never smooth. There may be a few or many stepping stones for each of us. For me I have lots and lots of stepping stones. Rejection from classmates. Neglected from “friends”. Criticism from teachers. Disapproved from parents. I have to learn how to get over it. Deal with it. Life is short. Spend your time wisely on meaningful and things/people that can make you happy. After all, we are gonna become ashes in probably 99 years later. Make use of your time within this “short” life span. Why be sad when you can be happy ;) Positive>Negative

  • Jason Sin

    Live and let live

  • Xu Shaoming

Do not really care about somebody who is difficult to live with. Just do what you do everyday.

  • Pui Foong

act as if you do not see or hear the person like he did not even exist

  • Fong Tinyao

find some way to make this hard to live with person disappear!

  • Yao Zhong

shift out of the house and dont live with this person anymore!

  • Wong Oi Lin

I will find out the source of the problem, what’s troubling them, and if possible help to negotiate and settle the issue.

  • Suzanna Lim

I will play counselor and find out what is the root of problem. How is their relationship with their parents, boss, work, etc. Try to understanding and work out together as a team instead playing the blaming game.

  • Lim Jze

I will try to find out what the problem is, and if there’s anyway to solve it. If all things fail, then perhaps one of us has to leave.

  • Sophia Ang

I’d try to be more understanding and find out what is bothering them.

  • Caroline Ang

Find out what’s troubling them & try to iron out the differences. There are bound to have solutions to every problem.

  • Spring Sun

Find out the source of the problem. Not going to get anywhere if you’re trying to deal with only the symptoms.

  • Darren Soong

If I can’t convince him/her to change for the better, then I’ll rather outcast myself and live in my own world

  • Xyl Cai

I would treat that individual even better so that he/she will be confused by my actions. Furthermore, if you want any changes around you to take place, you need to start the changes within yourself.

  • Salina Ivan

I would just try to live in my own world and avoid any communication with the person as much as possible. Try as best not to let the other person get involved in my daily live or to affect my mood in any way.
